SUBMISSIONS
There are four categories of submissions:
Papers and Short Papers
Paper Deadline Extended: Abstracts must
be submitted by July 3, but papers may be submitted until July 10.
ACM CHIMIT 2009 will include
paper sessions to allow researchers and practitioners report their
research on cognitive, social, and technical issues in IT management. A
sample of topics can be found in the Call for Papers -- Topics. Papers should
present original and unpublished results. Accepted papers and short
papers will be
published in the Symposium Proceedings and ACM Digital Library.
The acceptance criteria will
be the same for both long and short papers, though short papers will
have less time at the symposium to present. On the whole, short
papers are intended for those ideas that do not require ten pages to
adequately describe.
Authors are strongly encouraged to address the intersection between Computer Human Interaction and Management of IT explicitly.
Preparation Guidelines
Please consider the following guidelines for a successful paper submission:
Papers must be in standard
ACM two-column format and cannot exceed 10 pages in total length,
including the abstract, figures and references, and must be formatted
according to the detailed ACM SIG publication instructions (http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html).
Short papers must be in standard ACM two-column format and cannot exceed 4 pages in total length, including the abstract, figures and references, and must be formatted according to the detailed ACM SIG publication instructions (http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html).
Submission
Paper submissions should be made at the symposium submission site, abstracts must be submitted no later than 5:00pm Pacific Time on July 3, 2009, but the accompanying papers may be submitted up to one week later. Only PDF versions of papers are accepted. Submissions received after this date/time will not be considered.
Authors will be notified on August 28, 2009.
All submissions are considered confidential during the review process. Papers submitted but not included in the techinical program will be kept confidential in perpetuity. Accepted papers will be kept confidential until the symposium dates. Paper's title, authors, and abstract however will be published in the advanced program before the symposium. Submissions should contain absolutely no information that will be proprietary or confidential at the time of publication.
All questions regarding papers should be directed to Program Chairs.
ACM
CHIMIT 2009 will include
a poster session for sharing preliminary results not yet
ready for a paper. Accepted posters will be presented in a
special
Poster Session, allowing authors to interactively discuss their work
one to one with participants. Posters will have a later submission
deadline, are not archival, and will not
be included in the ACM digital library, so this forum is ideal for work
in progress.
We also welcome authors of
recent (2007 - 2009) papers on the topic of HCI and IT Management
published in other venues to present your work at the CHIMIT poster
session. For these cases, please submit the title and abstract of
your published paper, full citation, and a link to the published
version.
Authors are strongly encouraged to address the intersection between Computer Human Interaction and Management of IT explicitly.
